Need advice on short-term medical bedding options
We are currently looking for ways to make my grandmother more comfortable during her stay at our house. She is recovering from a hip fracture and our guest room bed is just too low and soft for her to get in and out of safely. I am worried about her falling or being unable to sit up on her own. We only need a solution for about six weeks while she finishes her physical therapy. Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation? I'm looking for something adjustable that won't break the bank.

Safety is the most important factor when dealing with hip fractures in seniors. It is very common to rent hospital bed rather than trying to make a low guest bed work with risers. The ability to adjust the head and foot sections makes a massive difference in daily comfort and ease of movement. Most rental agreements are quite flexible, allowing you to extend the time if the physical therapy takes longer than expected. I suggest browsing some local providers to see which models they have in stock.
